Yes, you just cannot forget the beautiful smile...nor can you forget the sweet face which entertained you, informed you on the very popular show, "Surabhi"...and you certainly cannot ever forget the "bhabhi",the "sister",the "daughter",in "Hum Aapke Hain Kaun"...and each time you went back to see the movie, you wished you had someone exactly like her in your own home....a sis, a bhabhi....:)
Having said this, talking to Renuka, just brought those images back...she was talking, laughing as she took us back to the days of Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, of Surabhi and of her various other memorable roles...
Renuka has also directed a Marathi film, which won critical acclaim...and she talks about it...about the role of women, their stature in films as well as in real life....to hear more on that, do tune-in...
Trust me, this is one show, which will take you back to the Surabhi days...the same warmth in the voice, the sweetness in the person....all through the interview....you can feel her glowing and smiling....So do join us,once again for the repeat show, today,on our show ....
whenever I see this or read anything like this,I feel very sad........So based on our daughters/girls,we are bringing in a program today...do share in your thoughts/memories with us...we will make them a part of our show...
Also wanted to share something somebody sent me....many years back...
Little girls are the………nicest things that happen to mothers. They are born with a little bit of angelshine about them , and though it wears thin sometimes, there is always enough left to loose your heart---even when they are sitting in the mud , or crying temperamental tears , or parading up the street in mother’s best clothes.
A little girl can be sweeter (badder) oftener than anyone else in the world . She can jitter around , and stomp , and make funny noises that frazzle your nerves , yet just when you open your mouth , stands there demure with that special look in her eyes . A girl is Innocence playing in the mud , Beauty standing on its head , and Motherhood dragging a Barbie by the foot .
Girls are available in five colours-----black , white , red , yellow , or brown --- yet Mother nature always manages to select your favorite color when you place your order . They disprove the law of supply and demand----there are millions of little girls , but each is as precious as rubies .
God borrows from many creatures to make a little girl . He uses the song of a bird , the squeal of a pig , the stubbornness of a mule , the antics of a monkey , the spryness of a grasshopper , then the curiosity of a cat , the speed of a gazelle , the slyness of a fox, the softness of a kitten , and to top it all off HE adds the mysterious mind of a women.
Amit Gupta has got Acute Leukemia...and he is undergoing treatment...he has to undergo a few more chemotherapy sessions...then the next step is a bone marrow transplant...The problem here is that South Asians are severely under-represented in the bone marrow pool, and so Amit Gupta needs help...and as quickly as possible..
A few weeks back, Amit Gupta had gone to his doctor as he was feeling worn-out and was loosing weight....the results were shocking ofcourse and Amit was terrified...
So a request for South-Asians to Join a marrow registry in the United States, India, or elsewhere. It takes just a few minutes to sign up, and you can be the one to save a life. For EVERYONE do Organize a donor registry drive and/or contribute financially.
Remember,Getting tested involves a simple cheek swab and about 5 minutes, but it takes a while to process. The registry needs your kit before Nov 30 to help Amit.
We had some of our dear listeners mailing us, telling us about the robberies which have become very frequent in Fremont....a lot of the families have been targeted....after months of waiting....nothing has emerged....say most of the victims
The sad part is that most of the families have lost a lot in gold, diamonds and electronics....imagine, a lady loosing her first precious gift from her husband... the first gift on her child's birth.....something she had treasured...all gone in a flicker....And there seems no hope of recovery...
And the lingering fear...whose house/home is it going to be next...will it be mine..??..is the question now looming large...
What are you doing about it....would it be better to stay safe...prevention is certainly better than cure...but how...?? What should be the next best idea...maybe to write in a joint letter to the authorities...so that this and future cases be taken of....

Have space, lots of it in-fact,in your life for friends...and for that you'll have to begin to trust...be confident....and be one with your own core....unless we are, we cannot enjoy and experience life to the fullest thus leading to frustrations....
