About Saat Samundar Paar

"Saat Samandhar Paar" features interviews of NRIs and their parents/relatives/friends in India.The talk show will comprise of casual conversation about your experiences (India and US), your fond memories, thoughts, feelings and emotions that you would like to share with other Mera Sangeet listeners.The interviews will be conducted over the phone.This program is intended for family audience.

How can I volunter to participate in Saat Samundar Paar?

Email the host of the show RJ Kanwal expressing your interest with the following information:

• Name: [Full Name]

• Gender, Age: [Male/Female, Age must be over 18 years]
• Brief description about yourself: [Occupation, family, number of years away from India, hobbies etc]
• Your relative/friend in India with whom you will be participating: [Their name, location in India and your relationship with them]

What kind of participation is required?

You will be interviewed over the phone by our radio jockey. Your relative/friend will be separately interviewed by the same radio jockey (again over the phone). This interviews will be edited and we will combine your interviews with your favorite songs. The program will not be Live. We will edit (background noise reduction, gaps removal, music overlay etc.) the interviews. We will email the questions to both participants before the interview so that you have enough time (2 days) to think through the answers. The phone session will be around 15 minutes. Below is the list of sample questions:

• When and how (student, job etc) did you come to the US? What challenges you faced and what was your initial experience?
• What advice your parents gave you that you still follow, which has helped you in life?
• What were the best moments of your college, that you spent together with your friend?
• What do you miss most about India?
• Your relative/friend in India with whom you will be participating: [Their name, location in India and your relationship with them]
