An Indian-American scientist and a NASA astronaut, Kalpana Chawla was one of seven crewmembers killed in the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster. She earned her Bachelor of Engineering degree in Aeronautical Engineering at Punjab Engineering College (P.E.C) in Chandigarh in 1982. This Saturday, Feb. 06, we will be broadcasting a special program on Kalpana Chawla on our show, Saat Samundar Paar. This program will be our homage to her. I am also a student of Punjab Engineering College (PEC). I graduated in 2006. Now, we have a girls hostel in our college named after Kalpana Chawla.
