Mera Sangeet team is doing a great service to the NRIs. I really like the variety in your programs. The site is very user friendly and very clean. I stopped visiting other sites because of annoying pop-ups and pages clogged with advertisement on them. I think we all can pitch in our 2 cents and Mera Sangeet team can further improve the site by adding those features.

Here is my wish list (pardon me if these have already been suggested):
1. The site should have reviews about latest movies, movie specific blog, and links to their trailers.

2. We should be able to upload our voice samples , messages, to our profiles (http://www.youmail.com/home/index.do), just like pictures.

3. We should be able to put links on our profiles. The links can point to our facebook page, our tweets, our diggs, our youtube page, our flickr page (http://www.flickr.com/photos/ballyooo/sets/72157622835717589/show/), and any other social sites we are part of.

4. There should be a way to see who is listening and from what area so we can chat with that person. It would be even nicer if you could add another field in the profile which shows the person's State/City in India. It will be great to chat with someone who lived in the same area you did back in India.

5. We should be able to rate songs, create our own playlists, add tags to songs. If a song is played from our playlist, we should get an email, or text message (if we subscribte to it).

6. If we can request songs by looking at your library/collection, then we should be able to create queues like netflix, and the queue should tell when the song will be played. The songs that are requested most can be displayed in a separate area called Song request ranking.

7. If we rate a song, it should tell us what other song we will like, and also tell which other listeners liked the same song.

8. To make the site more interactive, have some live contests. Everybody can search google and give answers. Have some Antakshri type contests (live) using tools available in the market (http://www.freeconference.com).

9. You can take the song queue and listeners based on regions to the next level by using interactive maps like this: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2010/01/10/nyregion/20100110-netflix-map.html

10. iPhone, iPod, iPad, Android, BB, Palm, mobile phones pages should be there to guide the users who want to listen to Mera Sangeet on their devices.

11. Widget of your music player. We should be able to use google gadgets/widgets (http://desktop.google.com/plugins/i/radioblog.html?hl=en), yahoo (http://widgets.yahoo.com/widgets/slimline-radio-players) and/or desktop gadgets provided by Microsoft (http://gallery.live.com/search.aspx?q=radio).

12. Dynamic quiz for each song played. As the song is played, there should be related questions to test our Bollywood knowledge. You can have people enter questions for each song to build your database.

13. Interviews with celebrities (on-demand) will be extra icing to the portal.

14. Dedicate songs to friends and family members. When we dedicate an email should go out to them, including when the song will be played. Adding listeners message to the request will enhance the experience of the request.

15. Update the website regularly with new content, photographs, videos, reviews, new songs, blog posts.

16. Integrate with some ticket provider for purchasing Indian movie tickets from the site (users movie reviews will help which movie I should go this weekend).

Please do not enter my name into the list for selecting the best suggestion and giving away Chumby. I felt it was my duty to dump what I had in mind ever since you launched the new site. We always expect without conveying expectations, so I went ahead.
